OUR MISSION

Since the Holy Spirit does not differentiate according to age, we believe our mission is to equip children for the work of the ministry. With that in mind, our mission compels us to teach God's Word in ways that facilitate the realization of the God-given potential residing in each of them. We inspire them to reach that potential by rightly dividing the word of truth, therefore, imparting Holy Ghost power and vision. Furthermore, we teach them to worship so that they may live in God's presence; thereby, receiving the power they need daily to be God's representatives.

I Tim 4:12 - "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers,

in word, in conversation, in charity (love), in spirit, in purity."

Eph 4:12 - For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.

2 Tim 2:15 - Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed,

rightly dividing the word of truth.

OUR HEART EXPLAINED...

The Bible says “Children are the heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.” Psalms 127:3-4

We believe the Lord is raising up a mighty army today of soldiers with little feet. We have seen in the past where children have been taught their Bible lessons, sung their songs and grown in the knowledge of each life story depicted in God’s Word. Although this is all necessary for growth, we feel the one thing that is missing is the impartation to prepare young lives for the work of the ministry. God does not discriminate in any way as to what someone looks like, whether they are male or female, young or old. He looks for a vessel in which He can express Himself and reveal His glory.

In the timetable of God that we live in, the acceleration of the hand of the Lord is evident and the preparation for His people has been rapidly increasing.

When we began children’s work in the late 1980’s we knew the generation of young people today were chosen for such a time as this. For a child to wait until adulthood before it would be considered correct for that child to do the work of the ministry was a tradition that would have to crumble in the sight of a vessel chosen by God for His service. The vision we have for the children of ZLDC and around the world is the children’s workers, leaders, pastors and most of all parents would see the value in equipping these young saints for the work of the ministry. What one must realize is that there is no ‘little Holy Spirit’. He is given in the same measure to a child as well as an adult. It is what is done with that which is given that will determine the future of that individual. We believe as we teach children line upon line, precept upon precept we will begin to see the changes not only in our young people but in our society that we have longed to see and have labored in prayer over for many years. Children are our heritage and we pray that the testimony that is said about this generation is the same that was said about King Josiah.

“And like unto him was there no king before him, that turned to the LORD with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to the Law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him.” II Kings 23:25

King Josiah began to reign when He was eight years old. When he was eighteen years old he was brought the book of the law, upon reading it he discovered that there were many things happening in the temple that were not pleasing to God. He went by the Word of the Lord and tore down those idols and did that which was right in the sight of the Lord. If this young man had waited until he was an adult to answer the call of God on his life, he would have missed that call.

It is time we recognize that who the Lord calls He also equips. That is what our ministry is all about, equipping children not only with integrity and character but the affirmation of the love of God and how to respond to that love.

We have been given a great challenge as children’s workers in this hour, but we believe the day will come when the testimony will be the reaper over took the sower in the great harvest that is ahead of us all.
